From Diana ( http://environment.me... ):
Hi Gang,
I need to shortly send in some names to the NJ Sierra Club Headquarters concerning who are the members to be voted onto the Executive Committee.
I need to present these names in order to prove that the Young Sierrans is a valid group and that we are moving forward.
I feel that young people didn't come on board or get involved because there was nobody their age around, and so they came and left and I'd like to keep them on board to interconnect both socially & environmentally.
Currently, only chair positions would have the option of being voted onto the Executive Committee. Those starting off on the chair positions would have to start under the age of 35, because of the group "officially" being voted an 18 - 35 group and would have to leave by the ending of their 39th year.
Currently, the filled chair positions are:
Young Sierran Membership/Outreach Chair - David Smith
Young Sierran Conservation Chair - Bill Sevchuk
My position & Julie Garber's Web Master position though extremely important are not considered chair positions.
I'm including Barclay, Christine, & Roy in case they would like to take a chair position or any position.
Chair positions currently left are Publicity Chair, Outings Chair, & finally Programs & Social Chair. (Note - if the Programs & Social Chair is over the age of 35 when starting then the same position would be referred to as an Event Coordinator & discontinued as a Chair position.)
We also need to find a Treasurer & Secretary.
We also need to actually have a once a month Committee meeting when possible.
Truly, Diana
