If you all could please spare a moment, please see below re: having this sick, unconstitutional, insulting case dismissed already. After speaking to the NJ Superior Court, it seems the best place to send a letter would be to the 2 municipal courts concerned with this case.
All I was doing was peacefully and conscientiously handing out flyers regarding an important issue my Mom's town was facing (a dangerous, damaging proposed development; I am NOT against GOOD development, such as Smart Growth). Being able to conscientiously speak to your fellow neighbors in a public place is a valuable and important RIGHT of EVERY American. My civil rights are being violated and I feel I?m now being harassed here in CA by getting these upsetting court notices. My next court date is on February 1st. I cannot afford to fly the 3,000+ miles again, nor should this highly insulting garbage/abuse still be taking place.
The ACLU says they are on my side, but only can help post-verdict due to ?financial restraints.? NJ Legal Aid says they don?t deal with municipal court cases. I know ? makes a lot of sense, huh?
In the letter and/or phone call, please just emphasize that I?m a good person and that I?d never do anything to disrupt people (especially while they are RECYCLING ;) or get in anyone?s way. Mention that I am always sweet and polite and this case needs to be dismissed. You can be passionate, but please just try not to aggravate them, curse, or sound unprofessional.

Town ticketing took place in: Mount Arlington, NJ. We?ve insisted the case be moved to another court ? the last town sent it back to Mt Arlington. Now it?s in Jefferson.
