401 Gibson Avenue and Henry Avenue
Warminster, PA 18974
Lorna Rosenberg, a Sustainable Building Advisor and the Green Building Program Manager at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be the keynote speaker at the November 7 seminar on green building at the Warminster Township Administration Building, 401 Gibson Ave., from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Hosted and organized by the Warminster Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) the event will answer the question, "What is a Green Building?". Although a lot of people have heard about "green building", few have a clear understanding about what it is, what it can do, what it costs, and why it's become the most important movement in the building industry in modern times.
This collaboration is a first for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council whose local EAC's promote "green" or high performance buildings as a cost-effective way to reduce climate change. It is also a first for the fledgling Bucks County Sustainable Building Alliance, and organization that promotes sustainable design and supports graduates of the Sustainable Building Advisor program at Bucks County Community College.
Those who want to understand the fundamentals of sustainable design are invited to this basic, non-technical seminar in high performance design, materials, and systems.
