Details
The Community Board will be meeting on March 6th to discuss renewing the greenmarkets on the East Side that we successfully advocated for last year. Greenmarkets supply neighborhoods with fresh, locally grown food in outdoor markets. Local food is good because the food has less distance to travel from farm to dinner table and supports farms that would otherwise be developed over.
We need as many people to show up at this meeting to get these markets renewed for next year and show support for expanding the Greenmarkets to include more vendors. There are some people who are working to discontinue these markets so we need to turn out in force to support them.
