We need ALL Greenmarket supporters to come out to help us argue before the Community Board that the license for the 2 Upper East Side Greenmarkets should be renewed. We are also looking at a potential new site with Council on the Environment to see if it can support a greenmarket there.

There are (surprisingly) members of the Community Board that will seek to block the existing market renewals and any potential future sites. We have plenty of support from the general community on this and petitions to prove it, but we need people at the meeting to actively argue for them to carry the committee vote. Please come to the meeting and support local and environmentally friendly agriculture.

    •  Credit to Glen et al for making the renewal of the Greenmarkets a formality. Now we just need to expand the number of vendors at each market.
