“ Aside from the obvious social networking aspects, the connections that this Meetup Group has provides for some very interesting speakers who, in all honesty, would probably not be there were this simply a group of, say, college students, or even just a small group of interested folks lacking such influence. The opportunities to listen and even question individuals such as tonight's panelists are phenomenal, and the opportunity to meet people with some real clout in their companies who are interested in being environmentally-friendly (typically a subject favored by the neo-hippy movement and less so by the business community) is undeniably unique, particularly for someone such as myself who is low-income and a commuter from out of town. The chance to make connections with people outside my general social circle, combined with a shared interest in reducing the damage we as a species do to the planet we live on, is certainly an opportunity I am loathe to pass up. ”
— Michael Wray on Nov 20, 2008.

“ I'm glad I went, didn't stay to chat because I wanted to watch the "Lost - Answers" special. Steve was a very good speaker. I live in a townhouse so I couldn't pursue his ideas but I could certainly pass them on. My widowed mother had a wild garden in her backyard and her neighbor narced her to the city. She had to hire a handyman to manage it and meet code. It's ironic that the neighbor complained of pests when there was a field behind the houses. ”
