Members of the DC FOR OBAMA Advocacy Team on Energy &
Environment decided to to take action on President Obama's plan to
move "Green" energy forward by organizing the 1st annual Earth Ball, 2009.

The goal of the Earth Ball is to promote and educate our citizens on the
creative and innovative options available to reduce our energy dependency.

Whether you are an individual or an organization, we hope that you will
support our cause by purchasing a ticket or participating in the Green
Exhibit Gallery. It's a party for the planet and for just USD$25 you too can get in on the action at DC's First Annual Earth Ball. Mark your calendars for June 19, 2009 and be prepared to be amazed by all the green in the district.

The event is organized by the DC for Obama Advocacy Team for Energy and Environment as a way to encourage and promote the President's renewable energy programs in the district. Besides being a rocking good time, the party will also host environmental speakers and organizations to talk to attendees about renewable energy options, as well as other green programs like food-born pathogens, sustainable forests, coral reefs and toxic chemicals.

The event will be held June 19, 2009 at the Mott House (122 Maryland Ave NE, just next to the Capital building) in Washington, DC from 6pm-12am. Revelers can view several environmental films, get involved by submitting a green poster to the Poster Gallery, and everyone will walk away with free eco-swag like canvas bags and other eco-gifts. Don't worry, there will be hors d'oeuvres and beverages at the event.

Tickets are on sale now for just USD$25 and can be purchased online. Interested in attending the event but also own a green company that would like to take part in the eco-fair? For just USD$50, your group or organization can get tickets to attend and be featured on the event's webpage. All proceeds from the event will be donated to local urban gardening initiatives.
