Native Plant Project Workday
02:00 PMā??04:00 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2008
106th - 108th Street, along the upper path
The Native Plant Garden begins at the 108th Street Park entrance and runs south along the upper path, (between the stone wall and the path) and ends at about 106th Street. This project is designed to improve the habitat for birds, control erosion on the slope and establish a thriving community of native plants. Volunteers are needed to help maintain the native plantings and help extend the gardens southward. Interested volunteers should contact Debbie Sheintoch at grassroots @riversideparkfund.org or 212-870-3070.
