Announcing a new event for GreenSpeak Environmental Group!

What: Screening of "The Myths of Biofuels"

When: Wednesday, November 28, 7:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Event Description: We'll be watching the video of "The Myths of Biofuels" which is a presentation by David Fridley of Lawrence Berkeley Labs and San Francisco Oil Awareness.

David is a staff scientist at the Lab, one of the most prestigious in the country, as well as a member of the peak oil study group in San Francisco. He discusses the myths, the media misinformation, misperceptions and problems of seeing biofuels as an alternative to oil from the viewpoint of sustainability.

I plan to bring some snack-type munchies. Feel welcome to contribute and try to keep it "green". I think it might be wise to bring a folding chair. Kim and Josh are supplying the venue and the video equipment.

The film is approximately an hour and a half, and we'll have a short discussion afterwards. Anyone so inclined can continue the discussion with us at the nearest pub after Kim and Josh kick us out. ;)
