Details
Columbia University is joining Sierra Club's Cool Neighborhoods campaign on the Upper West Side! They are distributing an energy pledge to residents in 7,000 units of off-campus apartments!
We need volunteers to help reach out to residents at apartment buildings in the Columbia University area -- Upper Westside / Morningside Heights. We will give away a free energy efficient compact fluorescent lightbulb to every tenant who signs the energy pledge.
We're planning on spending about 2 hours tabling, but even if you can come for only half an hour it would be appreciated.
Directions: Take the #1 train to 116th Street
The building has a brown door and is between Riverside and Broadway.
We'll have a brief training and then go to buildings in the area to give away lightbulbs and sign people up. We'll get back together afterwards to enjoy appetizers, hang out & hear more about Cool Neighborhoods.
