Introduction

I'd like to learn more about becoming more environmentally conscious. I recycle and I'm sure there's more that I could do to help.

What do you think is the best way to bring about environmental changes? (legislation, grassroots activism etc?)

Start with myself. Then join a group such as the Hampton Roads Environmental Network and get more people involved. Together, each one of us can make a difference.

Are you new to environmental activism and what is your most pressing concern in this area for us locally?

I am new to this. I've just moved to Virginia Beach from Los Angeles and at least in L.A. I know where to drop off my recyclables. I don't know where to do that here.

Do you know any other avid environmentalists or eco-friendly individuals who may be interested in joining?

Not at the moment but when I do I'll surely tell them about this group.
