Many of you know that at the last commissioner's meeting several of us were present to support those speaking in opposition of a new, open, unlimited, season of fox trapping in Guilford County. Because of our presence and because of the public's reaction to this proposal, the commissioners have scheduled a public hearing to reconsider the matter. We are going back to again stand in opposition of this. There will be several people from the SPCA there and they will speak. Feel free to speak if you wish, but all that we ask is that you come and simply stand when the speakers representing us are at the podium. Please come join us!

Foxes are an important part of our local ecosystem. This law would allow unlimited trapping and no tracking of foxes before or after. Foxes are frequently sold for fur or for canned hunts to train dogs. If you have any questions about any of these things, please email me. I hope some of you guys will be able to show up! The meeting officially starts at 5:30, and there will be no problem with leaving as soon as our part of the meeting is through.
