Meeting Description
Organized by
- Hank Stone and Robert Walter
Details
We've been discussing "Lifeboat Communities", and how we might prepare ourselves now to live in a future situation of oil scarcity, lack of other resources, and potential social upheaval.
On Thursday, March 27th, we will have a presentation based on Tompkins County's preparations for possible disruption to our way of life, through Relocalization. This will be held in the Brighton Library, in the large meeting room, with the general public invited.
Our Wednesday, April 16th meeting (sorry about the date confusion) will be held at a NEW LOCATION: The Climate Change Center at 545 Park Ave in Rochester. There we will be welcomed by St. John Fisher College professor Mary Walsh, and Holly Rockwell, environmental coordinator for the Blessed Sacrament Church. They will tell us about their new enterprise to alert the public to the scope and consequences of climate change. Please do RSVP for this meeting.
Peace and joy!
