Meeting Description

Why

You may have noticed the price of gasoline edging up. And inflation in food prices. Experts believe this is just the beginning, and we'd better figure out how to live on local resources. Come and join the conversation!

Organized by

Hank Stone and Robert Walter

Details

On Thursday, March 27th, we had a presentation based on Tompkins County's preparations for possible disruption to our way of life, through Relocalization. The first part was about peak oil and what to expect; the second part was on getting to sustainable living through re-localization.

On Wednesday, April 16th, we met at Climate Change Central, a project of Mary Walsh and Holly Rockwell, at 545 Park Ave, Rochester. They described different kinds of outreach they will do to bring climate change to the attention of the public.

Our May 14th meeting will (again) be held at the Brighton Memorial Library. We will return to the subject of what can be done locally.

Bob Walter, our convenor, has suggested that we look at the activities on this website before the meeting:

Please do RSVP for this meeting.

Peace and joy!
